Before Covid-19 we had our “Standard terms and conditions” in place, after Covid-19 we had to add “Transitional terms and conditions”.
We have set transitional terms and condition in order to build a pathway to sustainable new standard terms and conditions over the coming years, therefore on the IELS World website you will find the following types of terms and conditions and Covid-19 policies:

How to use it?
Transitional terms and conditions will prevail over the standard terms and conditions for a certain period of time and whenever you cannot find regulations on the transitional terms and conditions our standard T&C plus our covid-19 policies will be your final source of information.
This process will allow us to pass from this period of time to a new one in a sustainable way without affecting or comprise our future endeavours in a bad way.

All documents relating to our courses will be sent via e-mail.
CHANGE / REVISION FEES:
There are no fees for name changes. If you require a room or accommodation type change from Host Family to Residential or vice versa, there are no administration fees but you would have to pay the difference if the new type of accommodation is more expensive.
Changing to a different course date is possible 30 or more days before your course start date, and if the new course has availability. There are no administration fees but you would have to pay the difference if the new dates are more expensive. It is not possible to change the dates of your course within 30 days of the start date.

CANCELLATION BY US:
We hope this section helps to clarify any questions that you may have about under what circumstances we would cancel a course.
WE WOULD CANCEL COURSES IF:
- Our suppliers are unable to provide their services
- The Local Government, where a course is based, advises us stopping running in-person courses and other essential services
- All flights in and out of a particular country are disrupted or cancelled
WE WOULD NOT CANCEL COURSES IF:
- One or some suppliers are closed, but the course can run unaffected
- Some flights are cancelled but can easily be rescheduled
- Foreign governments recommend against their citizens travelling*
* Please note that although we do not cancel courses based on advice from foreign governments, you can still cancel your booking up to 30 days before your course start date and either transfer the full amount to a future booking or, when possible, get a refund of all monies paid less 75 Euros Admin Fee plus the 4% card or bank charge fees. Please see our terms and conditions section “Cancellation by You”.
IF WE CANCEL YOUR COURSE
REFUNDS:
Refunds are processed to the credit card(s) or bank account(s) originally used for payment.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
IELS World (As part of Leadership ACT) does not sell Travel Insurance. We would recommend a few options. IELS World (As part of Leadership ACT) requires that all learners have travel insurance.
COURSE PARTICIPATION:
PARTICIPANTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS:
Learners who have special needs or require unique attention must advise IELS World (As part of Leadership ACT) at the time of booking. Learners who require particular assistance must travel with a qualified travel companion as IELS World (As part of Leadership ACT) TM’s (Supervisor-Manager, one person) cannot provide individualised assistance. Our standard coaches are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. All learners must be able to mount 4 steps into the coach.

COACH TRANSPORTATION:
TEACHER-COACH (ONE PERSON):
When our courses are conducted by a professional teacher-coach (one person). The teacher-coach (one person) is both the teacher and the coach.
ACCOMMODATION:
MEALS:
VISITS/ATTRACTIONS AND OTHER COURSE FEATURES:
IELS World (As part of Leadership ACT) reserves the right to substitute visits/attractions and other features when establishments are closed or cannot be visited for reasons beyond our control.
On certain dates including, but not limited to religious holidays and national celebrations, some monuments and sites may be closed. On these occasions, touring itineraries may be amended to reflect these closures. Occasionally, during holidays and certain periods, and/or due to unforeseen circumstances including weather conditions there may be last-minute changes, sometimes after arrival at the designated destination, affecting the sequence of the course and locations visited. In such cases, there will be no cost adjustment.
National monuments and tourist sites regularly undergo renovations, which can obscure the monument’s view. No excursions will be cancelled due to renovations and, in such cases, there will be no cost adjustment. However, IELS World (As part of Leadership ACT) will decide based on the conditions whether to amend an itinerary.
LUGGAGE:
Luggage, Hand baggage and personal items such as coats, cell phones, umbrellas and cameras are entirely in the care of the participants. Luggage might be carried at the owner’s risk throughout the programme unless insured.
CHILDREN:
Children ages 2 yrs – 7 yrs must share a room with a least 1 parent/guardian. Our courses do not cater for children 2 yrs or younger. You must be 16 or over to join one of our adult courses.

CLAIMS OR DISPUTES:
Should participants have a complaint in respect of their course, they should inform the IELS World representative or IELS World (As part of Leadership ACT) office during the course. If the matter cannot be resolved after IELS World (As part of Leadership ACT)’s best efforts to do so during the course, the participant’s complaint should be submitted to IELS World (Leadership ACT) in writing no later than 28 days after the end of the course. Please note that if you attempt to address a situation on your own without using IELS World (As part of Leadership ACT) procedure, you assume responsibility for any added costs you may incur and forfeit any potential refunds.
LAW:
The participation contract with IELS World (As part of Leadership ACT) is subject exclusively to Irish Law and the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
RESPONSIBILITY:
IMPORTANT:
My IELS World (As part of Leadership ACT) accepts no responsibility for losses or expenses due to delay or changes in schedules, flight cancellations or misconnections due to mechanical problems, sickness, quarantine, weather, acts of God, strikes, government actions, war, terrorism or other circumstances beyond its control. Participants must bear all such losses or expenses. To guard against unforeseen circumstances, we insist you travel with comprehensive travel insurance which must be purchased at home before departure.
Should you miss the arranged pick-up of your course, for any reason, IELS World (As part of Leadership ACT) will gladly arrange a transfer for you. This will allow you to catch up with your IELS world representative guide and fellow course takers. Please note, this transfer will have to be paid, in full, by you. There are no refunds or exchanges available for any sections of the course that you may have missed out on due to having not made the arranged pick-up.
PRICES:
Rates on the IELS World (As part of Leadership ACT) website are on a per person, sharing twin room basis. All prices are shown in Euro or GBP. Once you have booked then your price will not change, even if tax rates change or exchange rates change. All payments are required in Euro or GBP.
